Zhoushan in Zhejiang province has made significant strides in embedding public service facilities within communities, planning to establish 41 such facilities this year, offering services such as elderly care, childcare, dining assistance, and household support.

In the Kaiyuan community of Dinghai district, a recently renovated two-story building, covering an area of over 160 square meters, now serves multiple community needs. The first floor is dedicated to elderly care, featuring a dining area and a day care center. The second floor is designed for minors, with an activity room and an after-school classroom.

Similarly, the convenience service center of the Lotus community in Xincheng district was completed at the end of February this year. The center was specifically designed to meet the diverse needs of community residents, including rooms for activities targeted at minors and the elderly, respectively, as well as dance rehearsals. It also features accessible facilities such as elevators.

To date, Zhoushan has completed 32 such facilities, with an additional 16 currently under construction.
