The healthcare industry in Putuo district, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province registerd a robust growth in 2021 with its annual output expected to reach 296 million yuan ($46.54 million), an estimated year-on-year increase of 46.5 percent, local media reported recently.
To promote the development of local companies involving healthcare industry, Putuo district rolled out favorable policies and exempted them from rent for two years in 2021.
Statistics show that as of the end of November, Putuo has brought in 30 healthcare service companies with a combined registered capital of 150 million yuan last year.
Zhejiang Free Trade Zone Maishun Biological Technology Co Ltd, which started operating in Putuo in 2018, has taken more than 80 percent of the domestic market in primary cell culture after three years of development.
"Local government has been offering us high-quality medical resources and fresh samples to bring convenience to our research," said Zhou Danwei, executive general manager of Maishun.
