Envision Group, a world-leading greentech company, recently announced that it will establish a zero-carbon industrial park in Dinghai Industrial Park, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, local media reported on Oct 27.

"The industrial park is expected to manufacture wind turbines, wind vane tower barrels, and intelligent electrical equipment, and function as an operation and maintenance base of Envision Group," said Lin Jie from Dinghai investment promotion center.

According to the investment agreement, the first phase of the project will be mainly used to produce wind turbines and batteries while the second phase will serve as a research and development base for hydrogen.

A person in charge of Dinghai Industrial Park said that the zero-carbon industrial park will promote the development of the new energy industry in Zhoushan and attract more high-quality manufacturing projects.

Envision Group is one of the 10 largest wind turbine manufacturers in the world. In 2020, the company's installed capacity of wind power was ranked second in China and fourth in the world.

Envision has established nine technology innovation centers in countries including Denmark, the US, Germany, and Singapore, and employs approximately 1,700 workers, 70 percent of whom are researchers and technicians.
