Construction of 10 projects, with a total investment of 7.54 billion yuan ($1.16 billion), began on March 17 in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang, local media reported.

The following are four of the 10 projects.

Xiaxin Future Community

With a total investment of 4 billion yuan, the Xiaxin Future Community project, which has the most investment among the 10 projects, will include the construction of residential buildings, an innovation center, commercial service facilities, as well as a nursery and a kindergarten.

Expansion of Sinochem Xingzhong Oil Staging (Zhoushan) Co

The expansion project covers an area of 9.17 hectares and will include the construction of two sets of storage tanks, with a total storage capacity of 410,000 cubic meters for fuel oil and coal oil, as well as other supporting facilities, including a power substation, surface drainage channels, and seawalls.

Supply chain base of liquefied natural gas container-type transport

With an investment of 300 million yuan, the supply chain base project will include container yards and management rooms.

After being put into service, the supply chain base is expected to realize an annual turnover of 800,000 metric tons of LNG and generate average annual revenue of 1 billion yuan.

The base is expected to further improve its annual turnover amount to 2 million tons of LNG in the future.

Zhoushan Special Education School

With a total investment of 190 million yuan, the special education school occupies an area of 2.77 hectares and will accommodate 30 classes for 240 students.

The school is expected to complete the special education system in Zhoushan and realize the popularization of 15-year basic education among children and teenagers with disabilities.
