Construction of the second phase of the agricultural products wholesale market "Wantai Sannonghui" in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province is expected to be completed before the end of May, local media reported.

The 200-million-yuan ($30.97 million) distribution center spans nearly 37,000 square meters and includes 20 buildings and a 3,000-sqm square.

The center, which is scheduled to be officially opened to the public in August, will offer grain and oil, seafood and aquatic products, new energy vehicles, and food and beverages.

"Considering its location, we have also established some supporting facilities such as banks and supermarkets," said Huang Banghua, marketing director of the distribution center.

The first phase of "Wantai Sannonghui" achieved an annual turnover of 5 billion yuan and a passenger flow of more than 1 million since commencing operations in 2018.

After the second phase is put into operation, "Wantai Sannonghui" will become the largest comprehensive agricultural products distribution center in Zhoushan.
