Migrant workers in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, shared their New Year's wishes.

Feng Ping, a real estate agent

Feng Ping from Jiangxi province has been living in Zhoushan for more than seven years and is now pregnant with twins. Looking back at 2020, she said that the greatest achievement was that she and her husband will soon end their life of living in rental apartments in the city.

She said that her biggest wish is the safe delivery of her babies and their healthy development.

Yue Kang, a security guard of a property management company

A native of Anhui province, Yue Kang was recently promoted to the head of the security team. Due to his busy schedule, he is only able to travel home once or twice a year. His grandmother is his greatest concern.

In 2021, Yue hopes that he will have more time to return to his hometown to visit his grandmother. "My greatest wish in 2021 is that my grandma will be of sound health," he said.

Liu Weiwei, a kindergarten teacher

Liu Weiwei, a native of Shandong province, has lived in Zhoushan for more than 10 years and is deeply attached to the city. Last year, Liu gave birth to her second child and has returned to work following maternity leave this year.

"I'm so pleased to know that my students miss me. In 2021, I wish that my children and my students will be healthy, safe and happy," she said.
