The U19 men's team from Telekom Basketball Bonn, Germany, arrived in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, on Jan 28, with a welcome ceremony organized by Shenjiamen subdistrict.

Linus Sundermann, a team member, expressed his excitement, saying it was his first time in China and that he found Putuo to be a beautiful place. Despite the team's tight schedule following a recent match, he said the journey had been invigorating and that he was thoroughly enjoying this international trip.

The team is scheduled to play friendly matches with Chinese student teams taking part in the ongoing 2026 China Student Basketball Winter Camp. This exchange aims to build a lasting bridge of communication between young people from both countries.

Shenjiamen subdistrict also invited the team to participate in a cultural and tourism event, giving the German players a chance not only to experience Putuo's basketball culture but also to appreciate the charm of Shenjiamen's fishing port.

The winter camp is currently underway in Putuo from Jan 24 to Feb 6, marking its third consecutive year in the district. The event has attracted over 40 teams and 1,000 athletes, making it the largest edition in the camp's history.
