Zhoushan Putuoshan Airport in East China's Zhejiang province completed its first international cargo shipment on Dec 25, marking the launch of its international freight services.

The first shipment consisted of 20 fish tanks weighing approximately 169 kilograms, produced by Sensen Group, a local company. This has established a convenient air logistics channel connecting Zhoushan to international markets, providing support for local industries to expand globally and for the efficient flow of cross-border trade.

To ensure the shipment's smooth operation, the airport made preparations, including completing required qualification filings, upgrading regulatory facilities, and standardizing operational processes. The airport also collaborated with other departments to develop an efficient system that ensures seamless cargo declaration, inspection, and loading.

The airport will continue to strengthen its international cargo operations, optimize service processes, enhance customs clearance efficiency, and expand its flight routes and partnerships. These efforts will bolster regional aviation logistics and support local economic development.
