Zhoushan Putuoshan Airport in East China's Zhejiang province became the first airport in China to receive accessibility service certification for civil aviation airports from China Classification Society Certification Co Ltd on Dec 19.

The airport is recognized for its robust infrastructure and high-quality accessibility services. This certification recognizes the airport's efforts to provide a barrier-free travel experience for passengers with special needs.

Plans to improve the airport's accessibility facilities and refine service procedures for passengers with special needs will be accelerated. Measures such as creating a dedicated feedback mechanism for accessibility services and implementing regular experience-based supervision will further enhance the professionalism and precision of these services.
