From January to November, coal imports at the Zhoushan port area in East China's Zhejiang province reached 10.59 million metric tons, a 6 percent increase compared to the same period last year, according to Zhoushan Customs.
To support the development of a bulk commodity resource hub and ensure the efficient, safe import of coal and other bulk commodities, Zhoushan Customs has opened a green channel for coal sample inspections, offering services such as 24-hour onsite sampling. As a result, the average clearance time has been reduced by 48 hours.
In the future, Zhoushan Customs plans to further enhance smart coal supervision through video monitoring, data networking, and real-time inspections, improving clearance services and regulatory efficiency while ensuring the stability of the coal supply chain.
