A cultural and tourism promotion event featuring mountain and island destinations in Zhejiang province is taking place in Shengsi county, Zhoushan, from Nov 25 to 27, highlighting local landscapes, culinary attractions, and leisure experiences.

Zhejiang has 22 designated mountain-and-island counties, each offering unique scenery — from Shengsi's offshore views to Jingning's ethnic heritage and Kaihua's local flavors. During the event, tourism associations from the Yangtze River Delta region signed group-tour agreements to boost visitor flows to these counties.

The event also provides a comprehensive exhibition area with food tastings, cultural products, and interactive displays. Visitors can explore the scenery of all 22 counties through virtual tours, sample local seafood and snack specialties, admire crafts that blend traditional and modern elements, and purchase regional products.

Interactive activities included voting for favorite local island dishes, an exhibition showcasing fishermen's paintings and coastal photography, an AI photo studio that placed participants in iconic Zhejiang landscapes, and a large capsule vending machine with tourism vouchers and assorted gifts.
