The 8th Interregional Petroleum and Natural Gas Enterprises Conference, or IPEC 2025, will take place in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, from Oct 21 to 23, as announced by officials at a news conference on Oct 15.

The event will feature high-level forums, industry promotions, business matchmaking, and project inspections, aiming to establish a global platform for cooperation in the oil, gas, and bulk commodities sectors. 

As of now, 21 projects are expected to be signed during the conference, with a total value of 63.75 billion yuan ($8.95 billion). These include 15 industrial projects worth 28.55 billion yuan and six trade cooperation projects totaling 35.2 billion yuan.

The lineup of participants has also been upgraded to include senior executives from leading multinationals such as Aramco, BP, and LyondellBasell.

The conference will introduce a series of cooperation projects and research findings highlighting Zhoushan's role as a key commodity hub port. Another highlight is the Global Marine Fuel Industry Development Conference, focusing on digitalization within the marine fuel industry.

Since its inception, the conference has attracted over 7,100 participants and 1,900 enterprises from more than 50 countries and regions, facilitating 103 major project signings worth a total of about 392 billion yuan.
