A shipment of 76,000 metric tons of raw sugar from Brazil recently arrived at the comprehensive bonded zone of Zhoushan Port, East China's Zhejiang province, completing customs clearance smoothly.

The delivery marks a significant milestone in Zhoushan's efforts to strengthen its bulk commodity resource allocation hub and advance the development of a full-chain grain industry.

The bonded zone serves as a vital link between domestic and international markets, leveraging its deep-water port conditions and its role as a river-sea intermodal hub. According to the zone's management, importing Brazilian raw sugar through Zhoushan Port streamlines logistics, reduces overall operating costs, and offers a more efficient and flexible supply channel for the sugar industry across East China and beyond.

The bonded zone aims to further enhance its service capacity and attract high-quality processing, trade, and distribution projects, supporting the city's broader goal of establishing a major national hub for bulk commodity resource allocation and supply chain efficiency.
