A new modern cruise ship, Xin Hai Hua 71, recently began operations at Wugongzhi Dock on Zhujiajian Island, Zhoushan, of East China's Zhejiang province, adding a fresh attraction to the route between Zhujiajian Island and Putuoshan Island.
Measuring 45 meters in length and 10.2 meters in width, the vessel features a full-steel hull and a twin-engine, twin-propeller system designed for both safety and energy efficiency. With a cruising speed of over 12 knots, the vessel combines sleek yacht styling with Buddhist cultural elements such as lotus flowers and auspicious clouds, creating a strong sense of serenity.
Inside, the ship is outfitted to airline first-class standards. Passengers enjoy leather seating, marble tabletops, and expansive panoramic windows, offering a scenic sea journey with comfort and style. Its spacious cabin layout accommodates 387 passengers, addressing common issues of crowding on traditional ferries.
The Zhujiajian-Putuoshan route was selected as a pilot for premium domestic waterway tourism in 2023, prompting a push for upgraded service quality. The route is transitioning from basic transport to a blend of transportation and tourism.
