The Milin Ancient Tree Park in Milin village, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, achieved a collective operating income of 2.29 million yuan ($315,969) last year.

Since its opening on May Day last year, the Milin Ancient Tree Park has capitalized on the advantage of nearly 1,000 late-maturing bayberry trees transplanted in one place. It has introduced tourism projects such as lawn weddings, flower field photo opportunities, and camping, attracting over 100,000 visitors.

The park's 2-story visitor service center is nearing completion. With a building area of 864 square meters, the center will introduce new integrated agriculture-tourism business formats and increase income for the village collective economy through property leasing.

In the future, Milin village plans to lay a sewage pipeline network around the ancient tree park and improve the environment on both sides of the road from the village to the park.

Additionally, a new batch of catering and homestay businesses are gathering around the ancient tree park. The Miyuan Restaurant, located at the entrance of the park, is undergoing renovations and will open in mid-May.

By exploring diversified profit models such as rural tourism and resource trading, Milin village, which originally had a weak collective economic foundation, is gradually narrowing the gap with economically stronger villages.
