Longtou village in Daishan county, Zhoushan, Zhejiang province has been making efforts to create a harmonious and beautiful village with delightful landscapes, thriving industries, and prosperous living.
Formed from the merger of three agricultural villages and one fishing village, Longtou village is predominantly agricultural.
The Longtou-Lulan Qingsha Rural Complex has been built in the village. Spanning Longtou and Shayang villages, the project features a marine sports leisure area linked to the Lulan Qingsha scenic area, a demonstration zone based in eco-friendly agriculture, and a village tourism area.

The village has utilized 19 idle farmhouses to transform into livestreaming studios, restaurants, a Chinese new-style teahouse, and other cultural tourism projects.
The village has also cleared several abandoned homesteads, adding 2,500 square meters of space for parking, small parks, and micro-landscapes. Infrastructure improvements include the removal of over 500 unused utility poles and 23 agricultural sheds, and renovation of over 3,000 meters of drainage channels.
Additionally, Longtou village has pioneered a contract farming model connecting the village collective, farmers, and enterprises. It has leased large plots suitable for mechanized farming to modern agricultural companies for large-scale operations.
The village's collective operating income exceeded 1 million yuan ($137,988) in 2023 and increased to nearly 1.5 million yuan in 2024.
