The Dapukou container terminal located in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province handled 77 container ships and achieved a container throughput of 71,000 twenty-foot equivalent units from Jan 28 to Feb 4.

This marked a 77.7 percent increase in its container throughput compared with last year's Spring Festival holiday.

On Feb 4, the last day of the break, the terminal handled 11 container ships, achieving a single-day container throughput of over 10,000 TEUs.

The container ship MSC Faith, arriving from Abu Dhabi, docked at the Dapukou container terminal on Feb 4 and started unloading immediately. The vessel, with a length of 366 meters and deadweight tonnage of 150,000 metric tons, is the largest container ship to be handled by the terminal so far this year.

"During the Spring Festival holiday, we enhanced our safety inspections, strictly controlling every operational step to ensure smooth and orderly terminal operations," said Chen Bingyu, a representative of the operations department at Zhoushan Yongzhou Container Dock Co.
