The Zhoushan Pinyu Fresh Marine Aquaculture Co completed customs registration on Jan 6, becoming the first farming base in Zhoushan to be approved for exporting large yellow croakers.
Zhoushan large yellow croaker, one of the renowned species from the Zhoushan fishing grounds, is celebrated for its delicious, tender meat and is among the first seafood products in China to receive geographical indication certification. This fish is highly favored for its superior taste and texture.
The Zhoushan Pinyu Fresh Marine Aquaculture Co uses deep-sea cage farming, cultivating the fish in an ocean area exceeding 50,000 square meters, with an expected annual production of 500,000 fish.

Zhang Zhaohui, general manager of Zhoushan Pinyu Fresh Marine Aquaculture Co, said, "We are currently in negotiations with clients from the European Union and South Korea, aiming to complete our first export shipment before Spring Festival."
Exporting aquaculture products requires a registration process. Zhoushan Customs offers an appointment-based registration service to minimize the time and labor costs involved. They also assist companies in understanding the inspection and quarantine standards of destination countries, ensuring subsequent exports meet international market requirements.
