A V50p White Shark drone took off from a takeoff point in Putuo district, Zhoushan, on Dec 1, carrying emergency medical supplies including plasma and medicine, for a 40-kilometer nighttime flight.
After 21 minutes, the drone landed on Miaozihu Island in Dongji town. Staff promptly handed the medical supplies to the local health clinic. After an 8-minute stop, the drone returned to the starting point loaded with two large yellow croakers.

Putuo district now has eight drone landing pads, with nine routes approved for airspace use. Regular deliveries have already been established on the routes from Putuo Island to Liuheng Island and Dongji Island.
Bai Yulong, general manager of Zhoushan Haifeng General Aviation Service Co, emphasized that drone logistics breaks the traditional constraints of water transportation, especially at night, and significantly improves the efficiency and extends the time and scope of services.
The V50p White Shark drone is key for getting medical supplies to the islands with its 20-kilogram payload, average speed of 70 kilometers per hour, and ability to withstand Level 7 winds, according to Bai.
This successful flight marks Zhoushan as the first in the country to achieve full-process nighttime drone delivery for island logistics, which boosts its confidence in exploring more efficient and cost-effective island logistics solutions, according to an official from the transportation bureau of Zhoushan.
