Zhoushan enterprises signed procurement agreements totaling approximately 1.8 billion yuan ($251.37 million) at the Zhejiang Provincial Key Import Platform Promotion Conference and Import Procurement Signing Ceremony of the 7th China International Import Expo on Nov 6.

At the event, Zhejiang Petroleum & Chemical Co signed a framework agreement worth around 1 billion yuan with Emerson Process Management Co. The agreement involves the procurement of devices including temperature, pressure, and flow instruments to enhance and strengthen the company's supply chain.

Zhoushan Good Ocean Grains & Oils Co also renewed its soybean import trade framework agreement with Archer Daniels Midland Company, the world's leading grain merchant, at the event. The agreement entails the procurement of 200,000 metric tons of soybeans next year, amounting to approximately 800 million yuan.

Zhoushan hosted the Zhejiang Pilot Free Trade Zone Bulk Agricultural Products Supply Chain Sustainable Development Exchange Conference on Nov 6. The event aimed to leverage Zhoushan's advantages in the import and export of grains and high-end animal proteins to promote the development of international agricultural trade.

A total of 237 companies and over 840 professional buyers from Zhoushan are participating in this year's CIIE.
