The 2024 Zhoushan Islands Triathlon kicked off at Nansha Beach on Zhujiajian Island, Zhoushan, Zhejiang province, on Oct 20, attracting 1,000 triathlon enthusiasts from China, the United States, France, Japan, South Africa, and beyond.

Recognized as a B-level event by the China Triathlon Sports Association, the competition was divided into five categories: a full triathlon, a duathlon, an aquathlon, a triathlon experience group, and a relay team event.

After intense competition, Guo Ziyuan from Jiangxi province claimed the men's full course championship, setting a new record for the Zhoushan Islands Triathlon. Chen Wenjuan from Jiangsu province, meanwhile, triumphed in the women's full course.

This unique island triathlon once again offered an unforgettable experience for both domestic and international athletes, showcasing Zhoushan's vibrant, youthful, and trendy image as the "Maritime Sports City" to the world.

The cycling course was set along the most beautiful section of the coast on Zhujiajian Island, offering athletes views of the beautiful island scenery. However, the course's varied slopes and curves added some challenges, testing the endurance and skill of participants.
