A regular flight service between Zhoushan and Hong Kong is set to launch on Nov 7, according to a statement made by Greater Bay Airlines on Oct 2.

The route will offer a flight every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday, each with a duration of approximately 2.5 hours.

Five local travel agencies, including the Zhejiang Haizhongzhou International Travel Agency Co and Zhoushan Chunqiu International Travel Agency Co, have partnered with Greater Bay Airlines to organize group tours.

Yuan Peijun, general manager of Zhejiang Haizhongzhou International Travel Agency Co, said that they have recently launched travel packages such as complementary tours in Hong Kong and multi-day leisure tours covering Hong Kong and Macao, as well as Zhuhai and Shenzhen in Guangdong province.

Additionally, several local travel agencies are collaborating with Hong Kong counterparts to enhance existing Putuo Mountain tour routes, attracting more Hong Kong residents to Zhoushan.

With this new convenience of flying directly from Zhoushan, the exit-entry reception hall of Zhoushan public security bureau is busy with residents eager to get travel permits to Hong Kong.

To handle the anticipated surge in permit applications, the city's exit-entry administration authorities plan to optimize services by adding service windows and offering fast-track services for seniors.
