Updated : 2024-10-12 (ezhejiang.gov.cn)

The 7th International Petroleum and Natural Gas Enterprises Conference is set to take place in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province from Oct 16 to 18. It will feature one plenary session, seven thematic sessions, and one closed-door meeting.

Of the 210 companies that have confirmed their participation, 40 are from the Fortune Global 500 and 26 are from the world's top 50 oil companies, according to official statistics.

As a significant platform to show Zhejiang's openness, the conference will focus on establishing Zhoushan as a hub for bulk commodity resource allocation, with a spotlight on its role in the oil, gas, iron ore, and non-ferrous metal sectors. It aims to foster global partnerships in the bulk commodity industry.

Zhoushan has been solidifying its position in the oil and gas industry. It boasts the largest green petrochemical base and the largest oil and gas storage and transportation base in China, becoming the country's top oil and gas trade port and the fourth-largest ship refueling port globally.

Zhoushan's capacity for bulk commodity resource allocation continues to grow, with an annual throughput exceeding 650 million metric tons, accounting for over 50 percent of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port's total. It handles 12 percent of the nation's crude oil, 7 percent of its iron ore, and 18 percent of its soybeans, making it a key logistics hub for bulk commodities in China.
