As of the end of June, Daishan county in Zhoushan had achieved a cargo throughput of 118 million metric tons, marking a 2.23-percent year-on-year increase and surpassing its mid-year target.

Shulanghu Ore Transfer Terminal, China's largest iron ore transfer terminal, handled 38.83 million tons of cargo in the first half of this year. The terminal set multiple records, including completing the unloading of a fully loaded 400,000-ton vessel in 33.33 hours and achieving a single-day iron ore shipment of 321,200 tons. The loading time for 40,000 to 50,000-ton ships also dropped below 10 hours for the first time, and the terminal's extended section is now operational, enabling simultaneous docking of 400,000-ton and 200,000-ton vessels.

The Huangzeshan to Yushan subsea crude oil pipeline has been put into operation, increasing crude oil imports at Ground Sun, one of Zhoushan's green petrochemical base supply depots. In the first half of the year, Ground Sun completed a throughput of 3.2 million tons.

Additionally, the increased refining capacity of Zhejiang Petrochemical Co's phases one and two has boosted coal and container throughput. By the end of June, Zhejiang Petrochemical had a cargo throughput of 32.36 million tons, with coal throughput at 747,000 tons (up 7.3 percent year-on-year) and container throughput at 460,000 TEUs (up 35.29 percent year-on-year).
