The Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce recently selected the first batch of provincial-level institutional innovation cases for the 2024 Zhejiang Free Trade Zone. Seventeen innovative cases were selected, with the Zhoushan area contributing six of them.
The 17 selected cases span five main areas, namely trade liberalization and facilitation, investment and capital liberalization and facilitation, personnel mobility facilitation, transport liberalization and facilitation, and business environment optimization.
In the trade liberalization and facilitation category, Zhoushan had three cases included, namely New Model for Precise Supervision of the Full Lifecycle of Oil and Gas Trade Enterprises, Promoting Regularized Bunkering of Marine Biofuel to Support the High-Quality Development of the New Green Energy Industry, and Creating Zhejiang LNG Consumption Price to Explore Natural Gas Market Reform and Price Stability.
Zhoushan's business environment is a key highlight. Two cases from Zhoushan were selected in this field, namely Comprehensive Integrated Maritime Administrative Law Enforcement Reform and Pioneering LNG Vertical Tank Capacity Calibration Method.
Additionally, the Pioneering All-Port Pilot Training Mechanism case, jointly developed by Zhoushan and Ningbo, was selected. The initiative, which combines port development practices and port administration management, is the first in China to implement an all-port pilot training mechanism.
