Zhoushan's overall per capita disposable income in 2023 increased by 6.7 percent to 68,110 yuan ($9,520.61), according to official data from the Zhoushan branch of the National Bureau of Statistics.
Specifically, the per capita disposable income of the city's urban residents rose 6.2 percent to 76,435 yuan, while the figure for rural residents rose 7.5 percent to 49,379 yuan.
Wages are still the biggest source of income for residents in Zhoushan, followed by net operating income, net transfer income, and net asset income.
The per capita wage income of Zhoushan's urban residents last year stood at 45,027 yuan, a growth of 6.6 percent year-on-year.
Meanwhile, the per capita net transfer income, operating income, and net asset income were 10,025 yuan, 8,034 yuan, and 5,024 yuan, respectively, up 7.0 percent, 6.8 percent and 6.2 percent.
For rural residents, the per capita wage income, net transfer income, operating income, and net asset income were 31,607 yuan, 7,997 yuan, 7,865 yuan and 1,910 yuan, respectively, up 7.4 percent, 7.8 percent, 7.7 percent, and 7.0 percent.
Over the same period, the city's per capita consumption amounted to 43,612 yuan, up 9.8 percent from the previous year.
