The GDP of Zhoushan in Zhejiang province was valued at 210.08 billion yuan ($29.34 billion) in 2023, up 8.2 percent year-on-year, according to statistics released by the city's bureau of statistics on Jan 25.

The added value of large-scale industries in the city experienced an impressive 16.6-percent year-on-year increase.

The total output value of Zhoushan's agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery industries stood at 34.77 billion yuan, representing a 4.1-percent year-on-year increase.

The city's service industry saw a 6.5-percent year-on-year increase in added value in 2023, boosting the GDP growth by 2.8 percentage points.

Furthermore, the total retail sales of consumer goods in Zhoushan reached 61.78 billion yuan, marking a 7.4-percent year-on-year increase.
