Zhoushan Zhongrun Intelligent Equipment Co recently signed an agreement with the Dinghai Industrial Park in Dinghai district to build an intelligent equipment production base.

The facility, which will cost approximately 500 million yuan ($69.81 million) to build, is expected to house a research and development center for special robots and drones, as well as production testing workshops and supporting facilities.

Han Lei, general manager of the company, noted that he and his team are also planning to establish an academic center for marine research. The research institute plans to independently develop three types of drones, one of which is a fixed-wing drone with a wingspan of 6 meters, designed for purposes such as forest fire prevention and maritime inspections.

Zhongrun, which settled in at the industrial park in 2021, stands as the city's first integrated special robot independent assembly base for research, development, assembly, and sales.

Zhongrun primarily assembles products such as explosion-proof robots and firefighting robots, catering to enterprises such as oil depots and shipyards. Since its launch at the end of 2022, the company's sales revenue has exceeded 200 million yuan.
