Huaniao Island, located in Shengsi county, Zhoushan, Zhejiang province has unveiled an ambitious plan to transform itself into a captivating haven for romance. 

With a total investment of 240 million yuan ($33.46 million), the island aims to launch 14 projects, reimagining itself as the most enchanting destination in the East China Sea. 

Central to this vision is the creation of a love-themed consumption scene. Through the meticulous crafting of architectural styles, the curation of spatial settings, and the nurturing of environmental ambiance, five distinct themes of love will be woven into the fabric of the island — acquaintance, courtship, engagement, companionship, and commitment. 

The island's transformation will also prioritize the enhancement of its pedestrian trail system, the addition of seven new love stations centered around the "companionship" love theme, the revitalization of the central street's overall streetscape, and the establishment of a pocket park featuring a shared rooftop garden inspired by the twelve constellations. 

Furthermore, the local government is dedicated to introducing innovative business formats, including tourist photography studios, high-end wedding customization companies, and specialized wedding design studios.

As part of this effort, the island plans to develop an array of wedding and tourism-themed services, such as romantic train experiences and couples stargazing. 

Additionally, there will be a concerted effort to guide homestays and the catering industry to offer enticing couple rooms, happiness packages, and a diverse range of wedding-themed cultural and creative products.
