The 2023 Zhejiang Private Enterprise Digital Transformation Forum took place in Huzhou on Oct 30. A highlight of the event was the unveiling of three exemplary lists of digitalization and the sharing of digital transformation success stories. 

Seven enterprises from Zhoushan made the prestigious list.

Among them was Zhejiang Baosu Environmental Protection Technology Co Ltd, located in Daishan County. Notably, the company invested in eight plastic injection molding machines at a time, a part of its streamlined and automated assembly line. The line, made up of 130 machines in total, reduced workforce requirements by 80 percent and time requirements by 60 percent.

Another standout, Zhoushan Zhengshan Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Co Ltd, earned recognition as a provincial-level "future factory" pilot company. Boasting China's first unmanned flexible production line, it produces a thread sleeve every three to four seconds. The company, evolving from 2017 to 2023, is now embarking on the construction of a third-phase "super factory".

Zhoushan's commitment to intelligent reform and digital transformation is evident in its multifaceted support system. It spans finance, taxation, public services, talent, and policy updates, significantly reducing the cost and burden of digitalization for private enterprises.

In July 2023, the city also established a committee on digital economy, aiming to continuously develop the digital economy, further its integration into private enterprises, propel high-quality development across the entire private sector.
