Putuo district in Zhoushan has attracted 2.2 billion yuan ($310.22 million) in investment for a single project. 

Initiated in September 2022, the project, romantically named the Sky City above the Starry Sea, is designed to be a cultural and tourism complex, whose official investment agreement was signed on Apr 28 in 2023. The complex, integrating accommodation, hot springs, art, catering, and entertainment, marks the ambitious venture of the city's developing initiative. The plan, covering 295 kilometers of coastal space, is expected to boost the cultural tourism industry.

Capitalizing on the unique environment, especially the favorable scenery along the road in Putuo, the project strategically aligns with the area's prime geographic location and rich cultural and tourism attractions. Meanwhile, the working group for the project demonstrated proactive engagement, even braving a typhoon to conduct a successful on-site inspection, creating a strong rapport with the investors.

To ensure a seamless landing of all the planning, the working group played a pivotal role, providing proactive and high-quality services. Through efficient collaboration, the project achieved milestones, including the conceptual design completion in two months and the official signing on Apr 28.

Now in the construction phase, the project has initiated land leveling and infrastructure development. The dedicated working group and other supporting departments behind, committed to a swift and effective project, are maintaining its momentum toward the city's coastal revitalization.
