Five companies in Dinghai district, Zhoushan, Zhejiang province attended the third phase of the 134th China Import and Export Fair, or Canton Fair, in Guangzhou, from Oct 31 to Nov 4.
Zhou Songhua, manager of the foreign trade department of Sunsun Group focused on aquarium and pet products, said that his company values the opportunity to participate in the exhibition and hopes to receive more high-quality customers and further deepen cooperation with existing customers.
The fair boasts 515,000 square meters of exhibition area, packed with 24,464 booths and 11,312 participating companies. Approximately 990,000 products have been uploaded for online exhibition. The number of branded booths and companies showcasing export products has increased by over 40 percent compared to the previous year.
The 134th Canton Fair, held from Oct 15 to Nov 4, is divided into three phases. The exhibition area this year has expanded to 1.55 million square meters, with a total of 74,000 booths and 55 exhibition zones, a record high.
Eleven companies from Dinghai are participating in phases 1 to 3, which are engaged in various fields including clothing, machinery, sports equipment, and automotive accessories.
To help companies better expand their overseas markets and reap the best result possible at the fair, the Dinghai bureau of commerce organized training sessions for participating companies and arranged personnel to assist companies throughout the process.
Participating in the fair not only has the potential to enhance the brand awareness of enterprises but also enable them to find high-quality suppliers and new products and technologies, increase private enterprises' understanding of the market, and grasp market demand and trends, which greatly aids in the long-term development of enterprises, according to a staff member of the bureau.
