International petroleum conference opens in Zhoushan

The 6th International Petroleum and Natural Gas Enterprises Conference, or IPEC 2023, was held in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, on Oct 25.

Nearly 600 representatives from more than 200 leading companies from over 20 countries in the oil and gas industry and related sectors attended the conference, representing all segments of the oil and gas industrial chain.

Lu Shan, deputy governor of the province, noted at the conference that Zhejiang will highlight its role as a hub and an institutional model for further deepening cooperation in the fields of oil and gas investment and trade, bulk commodities as well as promote the development of the entire oil and gas industrial chain.

Lu added that the province will speed up the establishment of a resource allocation hub for bulk commodities with international influence, and expressed hope that guests from all parties will strengthen cooperation and exchanges and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

The "Green Ship Fuel Development Zhoushan Declaration" was released during the event, along with the rankings of the "Top 10 Global Ship Bunkering Ports for 2022" and the "Zhejiang LNG Price" Index.

A total of 19 major projects with a combined investment of 73.7 billion yuan ($10.12 billion) were secured.
