Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province held a digital marine industrial chain cooperation conference on Oct 23, according to local media reports.

Nine digital marine projects were secured during the event, which will inject new vitality into the city's digital sector.

The projects are related to fields such as digital twins, silicon-carbon integrated anodes, new energy equipment manufacturing, submarine helicopters, and digital transformation for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Zhoushan has launched a campaign to advance its digital economy this year and has attracted major projects engaged in photovoltaic film, lithium battery separators, positive electrode materials, and high-strength carbon fibers.

The city's output value of large-scale industries is expected to stand at 400 billion yuan ($54.68 billion) this year largely due to its booming digital economy.

Authorities will continue efforts to advance in-depth integration of the digital and marine economies, including by creating a digital industrial hub and a marine digital technology innovation center, and building marine digital facilities.
