The 6th International Petroleum and Natural Gas Enterprises Conference, or IPEC 2023 will be held on Oct 24-26 in Zhoushan, in East China's Zhejiang province.
That's according to an announcement released at a news conference in the city on Oct 17.
The event is expected to feature closer industrial connections, the wider release of achievements and more international participants.
The conference will continue to serve as a platform for matching supply and demand in the oil, gas and petrochemicals industries.
It will also host a series of events such as special promotions for the petrochemicals industry and specialized presentations.
Moreover, it will host closed-door matchmaking sessions and talent and technology project roadshows, providing more opportunities for domestic and international participants to exchange ideas.
More than 10 investment projects with a total investment of over 40 billion yuan ($5.48 billion) are expected to be signed during the conference.
For the first time, the conference has added a showcase for supporting exhibits on new petrochemical materials. To date, leading international companies in the field have been invited to participate - including BASF from Germany, Shin-Etsu from Japan and SK from South Korea. They will join top domestic enterprises such as Wanhua, Xin'ao and Zhejiang Petrochemicals.
An official from the Zhoushan local government stated that the aim was to showcase the latest products and technologies in the petrochemicals field - and strengthen the development of the city's entire oil, gas and petrochemicals industrial supply chain through the exhibition.
Elsewhere, the conference is also set to release a batch of results related to green fuel developments for ships in Zhoushan, the declaration of Top Ten Global Ship-Fueling Ports in 2022, as well as Zhejiang LNG Prices, among others.
That's in order to promote the development of the oil and gas industry in Zhejiang, both domestically and internationally.
The event has invited established large-scale oil, natural gas and chemical enterprises from both domestic and international markets.
It's expected to attract over 200 leading enterprises and nearly 600 corporate guests, covering major oil-producing countries along the Belt and Road Initiative - such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. They'll be joined by others from the US, the UK, Germany, Singapore, Colombia and more than 20 other countries, involving over 20 oil and gas-related industries.
