A cross-Strait rural cultural and creative center was inaugurated in Luxiaxu village in Putuo district, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, on June 30.
The center is aimed at providing professional counseling services to the city's rural cultural and creative efforts in an attempt to bolster rural tourism, which will in turn aid Zhoushan's rural vitalization drive.
Cultural and creative industry experts from Zhoushan and Taiwan were appointed counselors at the inauguration ceremony, while three cultural and creative projects were also secured.
Yan Junyu, who comes from Taiwan's Nantou county, said that the center will play a key role in helping the city develop more high-quality cultural and creative products.
The city's Taiwan affairs office held a seminar on the same day, during which Yang Binghe and his wife, who run a farm in Taiwan's Nantou county, told their stories about how they developed tea seed oil into a popular cultural and creative product.
Lin Jiazai, chairman of the Chiayi Image Research and Development Association, said that Zhoushan's marine resources are conducive to developing related cultural and creative products.
