Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province will hold a series of cultural and sporting activities to celebrate the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on June 22 this year, according to authorities.
A fair featuring more than 30 stalls will be held at the Marine Culture Art Center from 9:30 am to 8:00 pm on June 22.
Intangible cultural heritage items like bamboo weaving and tie-dyeing, as well as handicrafts and Chinese traditional sporting events such as pitch-pot game and Cuju – a ball-kicking game, will be featured at the event.
Authorities will also hold a half-marathon starting from Dinghai district's 1840 Square on June 23.
In addition, a series of folk art performances and cultural activities will be featured at scenic attractions from June 22 to 24.
