The 2023 Daishan Marathon was held in Daishan county in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, on April 9.

A total of 5,076 people from all over the country participated in the event, which included a half marathon, a 5-kilometer run, and a 1.5-kilometer family run.

Seventeen athletes from countries including Japan, Singapore, the United States, and Germany, also attended the event.

The marathon, which was held in the city in 2018 for the first time, is the first of its kind in China featuring cape landscapes.

Authorities improved this year's marathon route, incorporating scenic spots like Beifeng Mountain footpath, Donghai Country Park, and Lulan Qingsha Scenic Attraction.
