Authorities of Daishan county in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province are ramping up efforts to bolster its marine economy. 

Efforts include implementing national development strategies, attracting more major projects and advancing digital transformation. 

In terms of implementing national strategies, Daishan is channeling more resources towards building a global resource allocation base for bulk commodities as part of efforts to construct the China Free Trade Zone. 

Daishan will also contribute to the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region by opening new shipping routes and involving itself in the construction of the Ningbo-Zhoushan modern maritime city. 

Daishan aims to attract more than 10 enterprises engaged in logistics, trade and marine service this year to accelerate the building of a complete marine industrial chain that covers the research, development and manufacturing of petrochemical new materials, the manufacturing of petrochemical equipment, and petrochemical services. 

Daishan will strive to improve the business environment by strengthening intellectual property protection, streamlining approval procedures as well as optimizing its smart public facilities.
