The 2023 Jintang Plum Festival kicked off in Jintang town, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province on March 18 after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The festival will run until March 26.
Various art performances like lion dances, magic shows, and bubble shows were staged at the opening ceremony.
A fair that sells local snacks like glutinous rice cake and plum wine is also being held during the festival.
The hosting of the festival since 2016 is part of efforts to aid the rural vitalization drive in the town, said local authorities.
