The construction of the Shuangqiao section of the Donghai Cultural Corridor in Dinghai district of Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, will be completed by the end of April, according to local media reports.
The 100.5-meter corridor, which connects eight towns and subdistricts, will feature mountains, beautiful countryside, ancient temples, relics, and natural landscapes.
Xie Feng, the director of Shuangqiao subdistrict, said that the Shuangqiao section will establish an intangible cultural heritage area that consists of a bazaar, a cultural post station, and a puppet themed exhibition hall.
He added that they aim to build a tourism destination that provides services like wellness, sightseeing, study tours, and art exhibitions by incorporating local historical and cultural elements into its landscapes.
