Registration for cycling race in Zhoushan underway

Registration for the third cycling event in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, has opened to the public and will last until April 11, local media reported on March 1.

The event will take place from 7:30 am to 6 pm on April 16.

A total of 5,000 cyclists are expected to participate in two events: 2,000 for the full race and 3,000 for the half race.

The entire route for the event spans 160 kilometers, starting from and ending at Zhoushan Stadium. It will pass by the coastal avenue, Zhujiajian Bridge, Daqing Mountain scenic area, Luotang Road, and ancient Dinghai city, among other areas.

Participants who finish their race will receive a medal and a certificate. Those who complete the full and half races within the required time will also qualify for the final of the 2023 Zhoushan Cycling Marathon.

The registration fee for the event will be 170 yuan ($24.54) per person for the full race and 160 yuan for the half race.

The event is sponsored by the Zhoushan government and organized by the Zhoushan culture, broadcasting, television, tourism and sports bureau.
