An ancient coins exhibition of countries along the Silk Road is being held at Zhoushan Museum in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, from Feb 15 to April 23.

The exhibition, which displays four ancient currencies representing the Mediterranean, Indian, Islamic, and Oriental cultures, shows a vivid picture of the busy trade scenes and cultural exchanges between Eastern and Western countries in ancient times.

The museum offers introductions about the coins' patterns, crafts, and morals, which will be useful for visitors eager to learn more about the trade history of countries along the Silk Road.

Zhoushan, which was an important supply depot along the Maritime Silk Road, is a place where the coins had been circulated and used for transactions.
