An agreement to build an industrial park for ready-to-cook seafood dishes in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province was signed on Feb 19. 

The 300,000-square-meter industrial park, which will cost 2 billion yuan ($290.6 million) to build, is expected to generate an annual output value of 2.2 billion yuan and pay 100 million yuan in taxes, according to authorities. 

More seafood processing enterprises in Zhoushan have in recent years opened businesses related to the production of ready-to-cook dishes. 

Su Xiaofeng, the president of Wanyang Group Co Ltd, which is responsible for the operation of the park, said that such parks will make the most out of the city's fishery resources. 

The city will make efforts to welcome more industry-leading enterprises from provinces like Shandong, Jiangsu and Fujian to the park, and build a complete industrial chain of ready-to-make dishes, said local authorities.
