Authorities in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province will hold a trail running competition in Putuo district on April 8 and a half-marathon race in Daishan county on April 9, local media reports.

The off-road running route, which features fantastic views of the city's Putuo Mountain, has attracted a large number of running enthusiasts from around the country to sign up for the race.

Participants for the half-marathon race will also be able to admire the county's stunning cape sceneries, said local authorities.

In addition, the more than 100-kilometer hiking trail within Zhoushan is a great place to enjoy splendid landscapes of mountains and the sea.
