A water-themed travel route in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province has been shortlisted as a provincial boutique one, according to an announcement by the Provincial Water Resources Department on Feb 8.
Ten routes in the province made the list.
The route, which consists of Shenjiamen fishing town, the Garden by the Sea, and Luotang Road, features the city's stunning mountain and sea views.
Visitors can learn about fishery culture at the town's Zhoushan International Seafood Trade Center, a national 4A scenic attraction, and buy fresh seafood.
The 48,000-square-meter Garden by the Sea integrates Wuling Wetland Park with business complexes, creating a perfect environment where people can live in harmony with nature.
Visitors can enjoy the views of mountains and the sea when touring the 10.82-kilometer Luotang Road.
The scenic landscapes have been made possible largely due to measures taken by authorities in recent years to treat its rivers and waterways, including cleaning up sludge, dismantling abandoned wharfs and building ecological landscape areas.
