Authorities in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province issued consumption coupons worth 1.5 million yuan ($219,843.2) to residents on Feb 11.
The coupons, which are valid until the end of February, can be used for accommodation, catering, entertainment, and admissions to scenic spots, according to the authorities.
Authorities also rolled out seven preferential travel routes featuring local fishery customs.
Residents can admire the ancient fishing villages, savor fish delicacies and experience the Buddhist culture when touring the routes.
