Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province has sent two delegations made up of representatives from 19 local enterprises to Sichuan and Yunnan provinces to recruit workers starting from Jan 28, according to its human resources authorities.

The effort is part of the city's latest hiring campaign to recruit migrant workers as local companies expect rising factory orders and booming production in the wake of the Spring Festival holiday, which ended on Jan 27.

A total of 1,133 vacancies are expected to be offered by Zhoushan amid the recruitment drive, according to the authorities.

A livestreaming job fair, which was held in Dazhou, Sichuan province, showcased the working environments of several Zhoushan recruiting companies, which drew more than 14,000 viewers.

Authorities published recruitment information via the channels of human resources authorities in Puyang, Henan province and Baoshan, Yunnan province ahead of schedule. 

They will also go to provinces like Henan, Anhui, and Jiangxi to recruit more workers to meet the labor demand of Zhoushan enterprises, said a local official.
