Authorities in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, held a job fair to secure jobs and ensure normal production and life on Jan 18. 

According to the authorities, 26 enterprises providing 173 jobs and 392 job seekers attended the fair. Forty-six job seekers signed initial agreements with employers at the event. 

Xia Gang, the deputy director of Zhoushan's employment service center, said that the fair offered jobs to various groups, including migrant workers, college graduates and those with employment struggles, which will be key to helping enterprises resume operations. 

Le Wei, head of a hotel in Zhoushan's Putuo Mountain scenic area, said that the fair is critical to helping his hotel recruit staff during the holiday and this will play a significant role in providing better services to customers. 

A series of online job fairs will also be hosted during this period, said local authorities.
