The Donghai Sky Corridor in Dinghai district in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province has been listed among the provincial beautiful greenways, according to an announcement by the provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on Dec 19. 

Ten green paths in the province made the list. 

The 25-kilometer greenway, which features ecological landscapes as well as water conservancy and forest fire prevention facilities, connects five mountain forests.

The greenway, which integrates elements of Zhoushan's maritime culture and history, has become a popular destination for patriotic education.

The sky corridor also hosts regular fitness activities, wedding ceremonies and study tours, and this has attracted several entrepreneurs to launch projects related to culture, tourism and business. These projects have in turn played a significant role in bolstering Zhoushan's greenway economy, said local authorities.
